Art does not reproduce the visible; it makes visible.

At Gouchault & Zhao, we read between the lines of contracts, canvases and borders.
This is where your vision becomes structure.
We don't just navigate the rules, we make the invisible visible.

Jiaxin Zhao advises collectors, investors, families and institutions across three core areas: the art market, investment structuring, and legacy planning. Her work bridges art, legal, and governance considerations, with particular sensitivity to cross-border complexities and long-term heritage preservation.
Prior to establishing her own practice, Jiaxin worked at leading international law firms, advising multinational technology and energy groups, foundations and sovereign entities on complex matters. She now applies that institutional depth to a more tailored and discreet advisory setting, serving private clients and cultural stakeholders.

Dual-qualified as a Solicitor (England & Wales) and a Lawyer (China), Jiaxin holds a Master's in Economic Law from Sciences Po Paris and further specialised in Art History and Art Market Economics through studies at Ecole du Louvre and Christies’ Education. She speaks Chinese, French and English.

Charles Gouchault advises private clients, family offices, and institutions on high-value real estate and art transactions, with a focus on fund structuring, acquisitions, and strategic portfolio management. His practice spans cross-border investments, governance frameworks, and transactional execution, combining legal, financial, and cultural expertise.
Bridging both the art and real estate worlds, Charles has structured and advised on acquisitions of museum-grade artworks and curated investment vehicles in Abu Dhabi, Europe, and beyond, aligning financial performance with cultural impact.
Charles holds Master's degrees in Finance and Marketing from the Sorbonne and Dauphine University, and has led advisory projects with major cultural institutions and real estate developers across the Gulf and Europe.
